problemas con samba y recursos compartidos de win xp

hola como estan
trabajo en un ciber y la verdad que estamos casados de los malditos virus, asi que decidi instalar en la maquina que controla el tiempo de las otras pc lihuen pienso instalarle wine para poder usar el ciber control hasta aca todo bien el problema es que no puedo ver lo equipos de la red que estan en la sala de internet :( al hacer ping a las ip de las pc en la red va todo bien el problema es que cuando entro en el apartado de redes de lihuen veo el grupo de trabajo pero no las pc que estan dentro del grupo de trabajo. en el adjunto el smb.conf para que puedan ayudarme con esto

aclaro el server no comparte ningun recurso como impresora ni nada parecido
solo ve los recursos compartidos de las otras pc y la conexion a internet es bajo un router y con el dhsp desabilitado ya que todas las pc tiene una ip fija en la red que va de 192.168.1.11 al 21

Hola: algunas consultas sobre tu problema. Para estar seguros, todas las maquinas y el servidor estan en el mismo grupo de trabajo como lo tenes en el smb.conf= ciber?
Otra duda, pusiste que no ve las maquinas, solo ve los recursos de las otras pc, esto no nos queda muy claro, a que necesitas acceder exactamente de cada maquina?

las maquinas de la sala de internet tiene la carpeta mis documentos compartidas
es a esa carpeta la que quiero ingresar es esa carpeta la que no veo cuando entro en el entorno de red de lihuen por la pregunta del grupo de trabajo! si en grupo de trabajo se llama ciber y estan todas en ese grupo de trabajo

workgroup = CIBER

Veo que has sido precavido y tuviste en cuenta que windows le asigna con mayúsculas si o si el grupo de trabajo, parece que esto no es tan así, es decir, como Lihuen, y todas las distribuciones gnu/linux son case sensitive no están coincidiendo los grupos de trabajo.
o sea probaría cambiandole el grupo a

workgroup = ciber

(no se si alguno de los chicos sabe porque pero no me basto con reiniciar samba para refrescar los cambios, por lo que fue una solución windowsera reiniciar! :CUACK)

Por lo menos esa fue una de las cosas que note cuando hice un simulacro en casa xD

Espero que te sirva, y sino seguiremos buscando.

fijate si tenés puestas reglas del firewall iptables, para ver si están podes correr el comando

si sale solo esto es porque no es este el problema.
Si salen reglas configuradas

En este caso podes probar sacarlas para ver si funciona samba, las mismas están en el archivo /etc/network/if-up.d/40iptables. En este archivo comentá las líneas que comienzan con /sbin/iptables... agregandoles un # a cada una. Luego para reflejar los cambios tenes que bajar y subir la interfaz corriendo:

ifconfig eth0 up

Luego como las reglas siguen vigentes hasta que reinicies la máquina para no reiniciar corres estos comandos:

hola gente devuelta por aca con el mismo problema todavia sin poder ver los recursos compartidos como ser la carpeta Mis Documentos de win xp
puse en practica el comando "iptables -nL y en resultado es este

por lo que entendi con el consejo de entrerrianas no telgo firewall activado espero haber entendido bien entonces probe entrar en menu inicio/lugares/red/red de windows/ciber que es el grupo de trabajo que tenemos aca y al cabo de unos 10 segundos me sale un cartel que dice "elcontenido de la carpeta no se pudo mostrar. lo siento, no se ha podido mostrar todo el contenido de <<Red de windows: ciber>>
PD: el grupo lo cambie de CIBER a ciber por el consejo de aldo pero estoy con el mismo problema sin poder ver las carpetas compartida de windows

espero puedan ayudarme :)

No se me ocurre nada más por ahora, me voy a poner a probar a ver si puedo reproducir ese error y te cuento.

¿Que versión de Lihuen era? ¿Lihuen 3 RC?

Hola de nuevo Gustavo, hice las pruebas que te dije y me encontré con tu problema.

El motivo (si nos pasó lo mismo a los 2) es que el samba del servidor con Lihuen no encuentra un servidor WINS para resolver el nombre de las máquinas con windows y trata de usar DNS para eso, obviamente DNS resuelve cualquier cosa y la comunicación entre el cliente y el servidor no se puede dar.

Podés verificar si este es el problema con

smbtree -N

Si demora mucho y después dice

Código: Seleccionar todo

timeout connecting to 208.70.188.15:445

Con una IP ajena a tu red entonces la solución que detallo abajo te va a servir.

Lo solucioné de la siguiente forma, a la configuración que ya tenés descomentale la opción "wins support" y "name resolve order" y modificalas para que queden con los siguientes valores:

wins support = yes
name resolve order = lmhosts wins bcast

Con esto convertís a la máquina en servidor WINS y además decís que cuando intente resolver un nombre, primero busque en el archivo lmhosts, después que use el servidor WINS y si ninguno funciona que haga un broadcast para ubicar a la máquina.

Después de eso reinicia samba con el comando

invoke-rc.d samba restart


Con eso debería alcanzar, pero a mí en particular no me alcanzó con reiniciar samba tuve que reiniciar el servidor con Lihuen directamente.

Nota:
Esto convierte a la máquina en un servidor wins, si querés aprovechar esto tendrías que configurarlo como tal en las máquinas con windows.

la modificacion que tengo que hacer las hago en smb.conf no?

pruevo y comento que paso :wink:

y la verdad que no es mi intencion que la pc que lleve lihuen sea servidor de nada solo necesito que pueda entrar en las carpetas compartidas de win para asi poder imprimirles los documentos a la gente sacar la musica que bajan con el ares y pasarlas a la pc del mostrador no mas que eso

Sí las modificaciones son en /etc/samba/smb.conf.

Lo de servidor era para distinguilo de las máquinas con windows nada más :) (Y si querés podés usarlo como servidor WINS con esta misma configuración pero no es obligatorio :) )
